Varian Cerita Tapa Malenggang: Kajian Naratologi A.J. Greimas

Abstract

Folklore set in kayangan and keraton is still interesting to read such as the Tapa Malenggang story. The purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the actant schemes and functional models of the two variants of the Tapa Malenggang story using the A. J. Greimas narrative approach. This research uses a qualitative framework with a narrative approach. The research data is in the form of an actant scheme obtained by intensive reading technique. The source of the story comes from printed archives. The results showed that there were differences in the actant schemes of the functional model of the story. The two variants of the Tapa Malenggang story have different motives, namely revenge and efforts to get love.
