Abstract
This study examines the Stoic perspective in the novel “Rencana Besar untuk Mati dengan Tenang” by Wisnu Suryaning Adji. The primary focus of this research is on how Stoic ethics are reflected through the depiction of the main character's life, enduring various hardships and suffering with calmness and acceptance, in accordance with Stoic ethical principles. Using a qualitative descriptive analysis method, this research explores how the main character accepts his fate, faces suffering, and seeks meaning in life through virtue under often harsh and challenging conditions. The results of this study indicate that Stoic ethics are reflected in the attitudes, behaviors, and actions of the main character in the novel. The behaviors of the main character include: 1. Calmness in facing suffering, 2. Acceptance of fate, 3. The search for meaning in life through virtue. Calmness in facing suffering and acceptance of fate are seen as key aspects of the main character's behavior, as he actively embraces the bitter realities of life with wisdom and tranquility. The virtues practiced by the main character all deeply reflect Stoic values. This research underscores that literature is not only a reflection of human experience but also a medium for profound philosophical exploration, demonstrating how Stoic values can be applied.
