Abstract
December 17, 2020 Pantun has officially become a World Intangible Cultural Heritage that has been designated by UNESCO, but that same year the Covid 19 pandemic was sweeping the whole world including Indonesia. Under these conditions, the use of technology is also an alternative, so that human activities can continue even in limited conditions, including in the preservation and development of oral traditions. Pelestari Nilai Adat dan Tradisi (PESILAT) of the Kepulauan Riau has created an application for the purpose of preserving and learning Pantun, especially for the younger generation with Pantunesia application. Pantunesia is an application that can be accessed for free on the online network and can be used to recognizing, understanding, and studying Pantun and also can be composing Pantun with correct rules. In this study, will be described about process of preserving and learning Pantun by using technology with the Pantunesia application. This study will produce an explanation that the preservation of oral traditions also needs to be elaborated with technology so that accessibility is wider and easier to do anywhere and anytime.
